Michael John Hitch was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on February 15, 1953 to Peter and Bessie Stinnett Hitch. He passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home in Chicago, Illinois.

Mike began his undergrad degree work at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. He then went on to attend the University of Missouri where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management.

Mike worked for Sinclair Oil Corporation as a Terminal Superintendent for over three decades. He happily retired at the age of 65 years. Mike loved to travel the world and share his travels with family. His hobbies included taking cruises, building with legos, reading, watching rockets launch from Cape Canaveral, and jigsaw puzzles.

Alex C. Poulos, 94, of Village of Lakewood, Illinois, formerly of Waukegan, Illinois, at rest August 4, 2024. Beloved husband of 58 years of Mary Poulos (at rest January 30, 2016); Loving father of Chris Poulos, Ann Marie (Leon) Garoufalis, John (Cindy) Poulos; Dear papou of JB, Alexis, Luke, Jason, and Tyler; Cherished uncle of many. Alex loved his family dearly and his positive outlook on everything around him was exceeded only by his kindness. Alex was a devout Orthodox Christian who supported his Church in many ways through the years. He was an avid golfer playing through his early 90s (shooting his age multiple times) and loved to share his enthusiasm for the game with family and friends. Alex was a veteran of the Korean War.
